When the Phone Rings plot

A young guy named Baek Sa Eon, the son of a well-known politician, is the subject of this drama. He started his career as an engaging news anchor before rising to the post of youngest presidential spokesperson. His life is a picture-perfect example of privilege and achievement.

But when his wife, Hong Hui Ju, a sign language interpreter with a troubled past, disappears, his idyllic life starts to falter. A person who has had to contend with major obstacles in her life, such as being deaf from an injury she suffered as a youngster, is Hong Hui Ju.

Their marriage is truly based on a shaky basis, despite the outward appearance of harmony. More than true love, this sacred tie is motivated by public perception and political calculations. A tight stillness envelops their relationship, as walls of secrets progressively impede their intimacy.

After Hong Hui Ju vanishes, Baek Sa Eon finds himself in a difficult situation that puts his morals and humanity to the test. He is now at a crossroads, divided between the dangers that threaten the political empire he has worked so hard to build and his worries for his wife’s safety.
