Uruguayan midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur has completed his signing and is now all set for a move to Tottenham Hotspur from Juventus on deadline day.
It is certainly a matter of joy for the North London club and its fans who have recently missed out on signing some players, namely Luis Diaz who has now left FC Porto to join Liverpool, and Wolves’ Adam Traore who decided to go back to FC Barcelona on loan for the rest of the season.

Bentancur is all set to join Tottenham on a permanent move from Juventus and the deal now stands sealed. The Urugayan midfielder is now in London and will be undergoing medical and then proceeding to sign the four-and-a-half- year permanent contract with the North London club.
Tottenham and Juventus have officially struck an agreement for 19 million Euros fee plus 6 million Euros add-ons as what stand to be the final negotiations. Here’s what Tottenham said in an official statement, confirming the signing of Bentancur:
“We are delighted to announce the signing of Rodrigo Bentancur from Juventus, subject to international clearance and a work permit.”
Boca Juniors will also be receiving 30% of the fee from Bianconeri as part of the sell on clause stated in the contract. During his five-year spell at Juventus, Bentancur made a total of 181 appearances in all competitions for the Italian giants, with 26 coming from the ongoing season.
Bianconeri signed the Uruguayan back in 2017 on a five-year deal which saw the Italian Giants pay Bentancur pay 9.5 million Euros (8 million pounds) over his first two seasons at the club. A versatile young talent, the midfielder will bring a lot of his firepower to Antonio Conte’s side, helping the North London fans on their path to glory.
Playing as a midfielder at Juventus, Bentancur made 74,000 pounds per week and a total of 3,848,000 pounds on an annual basis.
