Home favourite Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are among the players competing in the ATP Finals, which are returning to Turin, Italy. The top eight doubles teams and singles players in the tournament are determined by the total number of points earned over the season.
For the first time since 2001, none of the renowned “big three” of tennis namely Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic will participate.
Over the next few days, the top eight singles players will vie for the year’s last trophy. The seven-time champion and last year’s winner, Novak Djokovic, had to quit late because of an injury.
“Itโs quite an honour to qualify for the ATP Finals in Turin. I was really looking forward to being there, but due to an ongoing injury I wonโt be playing next week,โ Djokovic said.
