Joe Cullen won the Masters in Milton Keynes after defeating Dave Chisnall 11-9 in an all-English final, a look at the events and prize money distribution of Masters Darts 2022
Defending Masters champion Jonny Clayton defeated the world number one Gerwyn Price 10-8 in a nail-biting quarter-final match. While 11th seed Joe Cullen won 10-7 against 3rd seed Michael van Gerwen.
In the semi-final, 13th seed Dave Chisnall achieved a surprise victory by beating reigning champion Jonny Clayton 11-6. Joe Cullen continued his superb form in the other semi-final and conquered 7th seed Jose de Sausa with a score of 11-8.
Masters Darts Final 2022 Winner And Results
Number 11 Cullen appeared to be on his way to triumph until he missed four match darts in the 18th leg, allowing Chisnall, 41, to break and cut the gap to 10-8. Cullen missed six more match darts in the following set, allowing Chisnall to close to within a leg at 10-9. Cullen rallied, hitting double 16 in the next leg to break Chisnall’s throw and claim the £60,000 winner’s prize along with Master Darts Champion title.

2022 Masters Darts was one of the most unpredictable tournaments. The biggest shock came as second seed and reigning world champion Peter Wright was eliminated in the second round. 4th seed James Wade and 6th seed Gary Anderson were also knocked out in the second round.
In the quarterfinals, top seed and world number one Gerwyn Price lost against fellow Welsh player Jonny Clayton. 3rd seed Michael van Gerewen also suffered a shock loss against eventual champion Joe Cullen.

English Darts Star Joe Cullen was the clear MVP of the tournament. Joe defeated Daryl Gurney in the first round to qualify for second round where he thrashed 6th seed Gary Anderson. In quarterfinals, Joe continued his mazing run by defeating 3rd seed Michael Verwen. He overcame another better ranked opponent in semi-finals by defeating 7th seed Jose de Sausa from Portugal. Finally, he toppled 13th seed Chisnall and conquered the Masters Darts.
