As preparations for the 2025 IPL season get underway, all the ten franchises have finally announced the full lists of players that they have retained and released from their squad
Although the final dates have not been confirmed, the official auction is set to take place later this year.

Notably, South African batsman Heinrich Klaasen was the highest earner in the retention lists, earning 23 crores with Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Behind him are Virat Kohli and Nicholas Pooran, with RCB and LSG giving them INR 21 crores each.
Meanwhile, several big-name players are set to feature in the auction, including Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Arshdeep Singh, Jos Buttler, and Glenn Maxwell.
The next IPL Mega Auction will be a two-day process like in 2022 and the IPL 2025 Auction date will be in November 2024 but the date and venue haven’t been revealed yet.
However, recent reports suggest that Riyadh in Saudi Arabia is likely to be the venue for the IPL Auction 2025 which could take place on 24 and 25 November.
