According to reports, the fan was eventually identified as Kiera Mayer, who is a student of the University of Arkansas.

Kiera Mayer is a young University of Arkansas student who recently went viral over the weekend on social media after television cameras captured her in the stands during Georgia’s recent win over Texas. The cameras, picked out the blonde supporter around the end of the third quarter in Austin on Saturday night. Barstool Sports also went on to share a photo of Mayer on the broadcast and wrote:

We’re all rooting for Texas tonight.’

The post on X has since garnered over 43,000 likes.’

Texas home crowd goes wild

Sadly, for Kiera Mayer and Texas fans, Georgia crushed the game 30-15, with the home crowd going wild following the loss. Fans started launching bottles onto the field in protest after officials made a controversial holding call. The referee wiped out an interception for the Texas Longhorns with a pass-interference penalty causing a lot of controversy.

Texas fans started throwing hundreds of bottles on the field in anger, before head coach Steve Sarkisian walked over and requested them to stop. While the decision eventually got overturned, the SEC decided to fine Texas $250,000 over the incident. Moreover, SEC commissioner Greg Sankey stated how Texas must meet certain requirements.
