Samson Dauda bio and age

Samson Dauda is a IFBB Pro bodybuilder who was born on March 11, 1992, in Nigeria, to parents Patrick and Helen Dauda in a Christian family. Shortly after his birth, Samson Dauda and his family moved to the United Kingdom and now currently resides in the US. Samson is currently 32 years old, and also goes by the nickname “The Nigerian Lion”, owing to intimidating stature and appearance. Samson just recently won the Mr. Olympia 2024 title, which concluded yesterday, on October 13, 2024, in Las Vegas.

Samson started out as a former rugby player, and eventually started bodybuilding after his fellow rugby players encouraged him to do so. After starting out his training at a local gym, he eventually made his professional debut in April 2014. Despite entering the competition as a beginner, he ended up winning the first-place, launching his bodybuilding journey. After suffering a setback in 2015, he won the 8^th place at the UK Amateur Olympia.

Dauda eventually gained prominence in 2017 after he won 5^th place at the Arnold Classic Europe. This encouraged him to clinch 2^nd place at the British Championships and earned two 1^st place finishes at the Diamond Cup Rome. Dauda faced tough competition from 2018 to early 2021 at the international stage, placing at 5^th or below.

However, he eventually secured first place at the pro show victory at EVLS Prague, in late 2021. Following the triumphant win, Samson entered the prestigious Mr. Olympia competition in 2022. Despite a finishing at just 6^th place, he garnered a lot of attention and sparked conversations among pros and experts. The ‘Nigerian Lion’ eventually made a triumphant debut at the 2023 Arnold Classic, where he won and then secured a third-place finish at the Mr. Olympia 2023. He is now the reigning Mr. Olympia after winning the 2024 title just yesterday in Las Vegas.
