According to Rural Circle Officer Ramchandra Chaudhary, the police had learned about Wajid Khan through social media, where he was frequently making provocative posts meant to stoke animosity and disrupt peace within the community. Upon confirming the accusations, the police concluded that they were accurate and placed him under arrest.
Khan has had his phone seized, and an inquiry is in progress to determine the content of the posts he published, which went viral and allegedly disrupted peaceful coexistence.
The police are also keeping an eye on anyone who try to inflame social unrest and disturb peace in the community on social media. They are also identifying people who interact with or follow these criminal elements on the internet.

Age 24 Wajid Khan Deshwali, a Gagwana, Gegal, Ajmer resident, was placed under custody pursuant to section 170 of the Indian Civil Defence Code after the police verified the allegation and determined that the charge was supported. Additionally, Ajmer district police official Ramchandra Chaudhary stated that persons attempting to undermine communal harmony and degrade the environment are being watched on social media.
Police noted that others who follow and admire these criminal elements on social media are also being identified. Wajid Khan’s phone has been taken by the police, who are now looking into what kind of posts on social media that have gone viral and upset community peace.
Additionally, mobile phones are being used to gather information about the anti-social elements and individuals who lead these groups. Here, Wajid Khan’s social media bio claimed that he works for Al Jazeera as a journalist and he also claimed that he had shifted to the US after the BJP won in Rajasthan. Howevr, this claim was fake with Wajid actually working for Shriram Fortune as per his now deactivated Instagram profile. Wajid Khan has posted on social media regarding Hamas, Israel, and Palestine on multiple occasions.
