On Thursday, October 3, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) claimed that the primary accused in the Rs 5,000 crore drugs haul case is a Congress leader named Tushar Goyal of Vasant Vihar
The “kingpin” in the case, according to BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi, is Tushar Goel, also known as Dikki Goel. He was chosen as the Indian Youth Congress’s RTI cell chief but was expelled from the party as per the Youth Congress back in 2022.

On social media, Tushar Goyal goes by Dikki Goel and makes the claim that he is the head of the RTI cell for the Delhi Pradesh Congress. His nomination to the position was also confirmed by an alleged offer letter. The BJP also released the offer letter and pictures of Goel with well-known Congressmen KC Venugopal and Deepender Hooda.
Tushar Goyal is a resident of Vasant Vihar, Delhi while Himanshu and Aurangzeb are his two associates.

The police seized 40 kilograms of marijuana and over 560 kg of cocaine, with an estimated global market value of over Rs 5,000 crore. While the case is still being investigated, politics emerged around it when the BJP claimed that the “kingpin” was a member of the Congress.

Goel’s potential relationship to the D Company and whether the contraband was taken from Dubai is being questioned by the Special Cell The seizure’s possible connection to Mumbai is being investigated, as a sizable shipment of pharmaceuticals was scheduled for shipment to the city. A recipient named Bharat had come from Mumbai to Delhi to accept it, authorities said.
According to Delhi Police sources, Goel stated during questioning that served as the chairman of the Delhi Pradesh Congress’s RTI unit until 2022. There were also pictures of the accused with numerous Congressmen.
