30-year-old Chum Darang is the youngest of six siblings, two younger brothers, Tabit and Ninong Darang, and one older sister, Mitu Darang. She was born to Tajeep and Yamik Dulom Darang in Arunachal Pradesh and is 5ft 6in tall.
Darang is dating former model and Bigg Boss 4 contestant Hrishant Goswami and the two started seeing each other shortly after the Covid pandemic.
Chum Darang career
Model, actress, social activist, and businesswoman Chum Darang hails from the Pasighat community in Arunachal Pradesh, India. She is a multiple beauty pageant winner. Darang’s interest in beauty pageants started in 2007 when she was barely 16 and a big turning point was her winning Miss AAPSU 2010.
Later on, she took part in a number of national and international beauty pageants. She was one of the finalists of North East Diva 2014 and was the second Runner up at Miss Himalaya 2015.
She took part in and won the Miss Earth India Water 2016 pageant, which sends its winner to Miss Earth. She competed against contestants from 24 nations in the Miss Asia World 2017 beauty pageant, representing India. She won the Miss Internet sub-title and was placed fifth.
She also successfully runs her own cafe called ‘Cafe Chu’ in Pasighat. She had a minor part in the Paatal Lok television series. Darang is a social activist whose efforts have been acknowledged by the Arunachal Pradesh governor.
