However, Kohli was dismissed for 47 off 35 balls, including 4 boundaries and a 6, while Rahul brought up his 14th Test fifty, making 68 from 43 balls, with 7 fours and 2 sixes.

Men in Blue declared on 285/9, with a remarkable run rate of 8.22, the highest ever in Test cricket history. By the end of day four, Indiaโ€™s opponent, team Bangladesh had reached 26/2, trailing by 26 runs.

Meaning of Bazball

The ESPN coined the term in 2022 during the English cricket season. Bazball usually means an attacking style popularized by England under Brendon McCullum, who is affectionately called Baz, hence the term Bazball.

Indian fans have now coined the term โ€œGamball,โ€ inspired by Indiaโ€™s new head coach Gautam Gambhir, to describe this forward-thinking and dynamic aggresive approach to Test cricket. Gamball is a combination of Gautam’s sirname Gambhir and ball, akin to Bazball to owing to the similarity in approach in the two methods.
