The man, named as Tarun Saxena, committed himself early this morning after apparently being driven to breaking point by stress at work. He was discovered dead in his home. the case has brought to light rising worries about workplace stress, especially in sectors where workers are expected to perform to high standards.

In a suicide note found at the scene, age 42 Tarun Saxena claimed that for the previous two months, he had been subjected to constant pressure from his superiors to meet high recovery objectives, with threats of salary deductions for noncompliance. It is thought that he took this drastic action as a result of his growing stress.

The family’s housekeeper found Saxena’s lifeless body and informed Tarun’s brother, who lived nearby. When the brother got there, he opened the door to the chamber Tarun had used to lock up his wife and two kids before ending his life. Not long after, the family was taken out of the confined chamber safely.

As soon as the authorities got on the scene, they seized the body and started the post-mortem procedure. Superintendent of Police Gyanendra Kumar verified the discovery of a suicide letter in which Saxena accused his supervisors of bullying him because he had not met his goals. “If a formal complaint is filed by the family, further legal action will follow,” Kumar stated.

Family members have voiced their pain and said that Tarun’s choice to take his own life was largely influenced by the undue pressure he received from Bajaj Finance personnel. Tarun’s cousin Gaurav Saxena gave information on a recent meeting that Tarun had with his seniors. “Vaibhav Saxena and Prabhakar Mishra from the company’s Bhopal headquarters were on a conference call with him. They disciplined him for not reaching his collection goals, which resulted in pay reductions. Gaurav, his cousin brother disclosed, “This continual strain was too much for him to handle.

โ€œTarun Saxena was my elder cousin. He worked as an area manager at Bajaj Finance. The company had been pressuring him to bring in more collections from the market. When he failed to meet the targets, his salary was deducted. As we learnt earlier this morning around 6:00 am, Vaibhav Saxena and Prabhakar Mishra, who are based in Bhopal, held a conference with him and instigated him, following which he died by suicide,โ€ Gaurav said.

โ€œI am very tense about the future. I have lost my ability to think. I am goingโ€ฆ. I have not slept for 45 days. I have hardly eaten. I am under a lot of stress. Senior managers are pressuring me to meet targets at any cost or quit,โ€ Saxena wrote in his suicide note.

Tarun, who gave birth to two children, paid their school fees for the entire year before taking the step. โ€œYou all take care of Megha, Yatharth and Pihu. Mummy, Papa, I have never asked for anything, but am doing so now. Please get the second floor built so that my family can stay comfortably,โ€ the suicide note reads.

Tarun left behind his father, who is a retired clerk, together with his spouse Megha and two young kids named Pihu and Yatharth. Bajaj Finance, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh has not yet released a comment in response to the growing volume of claims of workplace harassment. The family has filed an official complaint, and they are expecting justice and an investigation.
