On September 27, Nitin Edwin Michael, a 40-year-old engineer in Nagpur employed with HCL Technologies, passed away due to a heart arrest. In the office restroom, his colleagues discovered him unconscious.
After being sent to AIIMS Nagpur, he was pronounced dead. Michael’s body has been submitted for a postmortem examination, and Sonegaon Police have filed a case of accidental death. The situation is still being looked into.

He leaves behind a six-year-old son and a wife. In a statement, HCL Technologies said it was sending its sympathies to his family and promised to help in any way it could.
“This is an unfortunate and tragic loss. Emergency support was provided immediately at our campus clinic before taking him to the hospital. The well-being of our people is of utmost importance, and HCLTech offers healthcare programs, including on-campus clinics and annual health checks,” the statement from HCL read.
