Tiger Robi, whose real name is Rabi-ul-Islam, went to the Kanpur Test match between India and Bangladesh on the first day and earlier complained of getting beaten by some of the local fans and was also seen clutching his back in severe pain.

Police officers escorted Robi to the Chakeri airport, where they stayed until his flight to Delhi on Saturday. According to the official, the Bangladeshi national boarded an aircraft from Delhi airport in the afternoon and was not permitted to leave the airport grounds.

Tiger Robi is well-known for his ardent attendance at international cricket events. He is an avid fan of the Bangladesh cricket team. According to media, he entered India on September 18th using a medical visa in order to receive treatment at a facility in Howrah, West Bengal. He still made the trip to Chennai and Kanpur to cheer for his country during their current Test series.

Given the terms of his visa, it was unclear why he chose to attend the matches rather than concentrate on his treatment.

Robi was spotted excitedly waving flags in the C-Balcony enclosure during the Kanpur match, which seemed to have taken a toll on his already precarious condition. According to reports, he passed out from exertion, and local officials discovered him gasping for air. Robi passed out before police could interview him, according to Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Harish Chander, who also confirmed that he was taken straight to Regency Hospital for medical attention.

Robi had told the reporters earlier that he became ill after being assaulted during a fight inside the stadium. But from his hospital bed, he later withdrew this allegation, saying in a video statement that he had just become ill and that local police had given him the appropriate medical attention.

He expressed relief over his recovery and thanked the authorities for their assistance.
