Sergi Dominguez started out with Sant Gabriel, before signing for La Masia and joining the U14B squad. He has since rapidly progressed through the different age categories at the clubโs youth academy. Following an impressive season with the Juvenil A under รscar Lรณpez and Javier Saviola, Sergi received a call up to train with the first team for Barcelona under head coach Xavi.
After recovering from injury during the 2022/23 season, Sergi Dominguez eventually made his debut for Barcelona B on February 12, 2023. He made his debut during a 1โ1 draw with Spanish team Amorebieta. Owing to his consistency and growth, the youngster recently got the chance to make his debut for the senior team. He came on as a substitute during FC Barcelonaโs 7-1 thumping of Real Valladolid in the Champions League.
He most recently played in FC Barcelona’s 5-1 win against Villareal. Aside from his success at the club level, the young centre back has also represented the Spanish national team at various levels.
