What exactly happened so far?
The previous chapter starts with only one day remaining for the culture festival. The students have even made a jellyfish zone where if they touch it, they will die in the dungeon.
The preparation was in full force and Ichikawa was acting like a director. He was fully immersed in it along with Yamada and wanted to make this dungeon successful.
He even decided to work overtime for it and it was pretty late at night when Ichikawa, Yamada and her friends left the school. They were also hungry, so decided to eat something first.
After that, they left for home, as tomorrow would be the culture festival. The next day arrived and everyone was pretty excited about it. The students also wanted to know whether their parents were coming or not.
Ichikawa wasn’t able to find Yamada anywhere so he asked around about her. That’s when he got the answer that she wouldn’t be coming for two days because she had work to do.
In the class, Ichikawa was sitting alone when the manager stepped in. He asked the manager about Yamada and he said that Yamada can’t attend any school event from now on.
