Born in Hissar, Haryana, Dhillon’s life took a significant turn at the age of 8 when a football accident severely injured his right knee. Despite undergoing two surgeries, his condition did not improve. Undeterred, he discovered a new passion in badminton and remarkably won his first para-badminton event at the age of 11. Today, he continues to hone his skills at the Shining Star Badminton Academy in Haryana.

At the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, he represented India and secured a commendable fourth place in the SL4 singles category. His success at the Asian Games includes a silver medal in 2014 and a gold medal in the 2018 Asian Para Games.
