Arisa Trew is an Australian skateboarder who was born on May 12, 2010, and currently resides in Palm Beach, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. She recently won the gold medal for the womenโs park skateboarding event at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Arisa is the first womenโs skateboarder to land a 720 and a 900 in competition. She started skateboarding at the young age of seven. She was born to parents, Aiko, who is Japanese and Simon, who is Welsh.

Arisa Trew is currently 14 years old and Australiaโs youngest ever Olympic champion but her height isn’t known. She is also the seventh-youngest Australian Olympian and the youngest athlete in over 40 years to compete at the Olympics.
Career and achievements
Arisa Trew first competed at a major competition in May 2023 at the 2023 Japan X Games, where he came in 4th. The following month, on June 23, 2023 she had her breakout moment on the international stage after becoming the first female athlete to land a 720 trick at the Tony Hawk’s Vert Alert event in Salt Lake City. The trick features a skateboarder completing two full rotations while in mid-air.
She then followed up in May by becoming the first woman to land a 900-degree spin. Arisa then won the womenโs vert and the park Gold medals at the 2023 X Games in California. She won the same events in June 2024 at the 2024 X Games in Ventura, California. Earlier this year, in April 2024, Trew received the Laureus World Sports Award for Action Sportsperson of the Year. She received the award during the Laureus World Sports Awards.
Arisa Trew recently won gold at the Paris Olympic Games on August 6, 2024 in the womenโs park event. In doing so, she became the youngest Australian to ever win an Olympic gold medal at the age of 14. Trew scored a 93.18 in her final run win past Japan’s Cocona Hiraki and Great Britain’s Sky Brown. Trewโs final run featured a 360 spin, a McTwist, a Body Varial 540, a Kickflip Indy, a Switch Melon Grab, and a Noseblunt.
