Kunlavut Vitidsarn is a Thai badminton player who was born on May 11, 2001 in Chon Buri, Thailand. He is currently the menโs singles World Champion after winning the gold medal at the 2023 World Championships. Vitidsarn has also previously won the World Junior champion thrice, in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

Career
Kunlavut Vitidsarn is the current menโs singles World Champion after previously winning the gold medal at the 2023 World Championships. Notably, the 23-year-old is also a three-time World Junior champion, after winning the 2017, 2018, and 2019 editions. In fact, Vitidsarn was the first men’s singles player to achieve the feat, ahead of Ratchanok Intanon and Chen Qingchen.
He also manged to clinch the gold at the Asian Junior Championships in 2019, after previously winning a silver in 2018 and bronze in 2017. Vitidsarn also took part at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics. Kunlavut Vitidsarn was also named the Eddy Choong Most Promising Player during the 2020/2021 season.
Meanwhile, Vitidsarn won his first medal in the senior category, with a gold medal at the 2021 SEA Games. He then won a silver at the 2022 World Championships. The following year, he won a gold medal at the 2023 World Championships, becoming the first Thai player to do so in the menโs singles category. Following this, he reached a career high of world number 3 in June 2023. He is now currently competing in the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic games.
