Taylor, known for his strict officiating handed out 8 yellow card to Germany and 7 to Spain. Nico Schlotterbeck and Deniz Undav received yellow cards while on the bench, and Dani Carvajal was sent off for two bookable offences.
Meanwhile, Fans praised the Real Madrid player for his strategic move, as he took the red card to prevent a late German attack, knowing it wouldnโt affect his chances of playing in a potential final.

Though this isnโt the first time during Euro 2024 when Taylor is making waves, earlier too, the English professional football referee, his wife, and their family were involved in a frightening incident in Hungary.
She was present during the attack by Roma fans who confronted the Taylors after Sevillaโs defeat in the Europa League Final on 31 May.
About Anthony Taylorโs Wife
Anthony Taylorโs wife’ name is Anne-Marie. The 42-year-old, lives with her husband, a former prison guard, in Altrincham, Manchester. Though not much else is known about her.
They have a daughter together and a cuckapoo named Monty.
The Taylors faced a harrowing ordeal when angry fans confronted them at Budapest airport last year.
What Did the Viral Video Show?
Footage on TikTok shows Anthony Taylor trying to protect his daughter, who is seen crying during the incident. It is unclear if the Taylorsโ children are biological or adopted, as they keep their family life private.
The couple has a cockapoo named Monty. Anthony and Anne-Marie were seen taking Monty for a 30-minute walk to the local shops.
After a heated match that ended in a fiery outburst from Jose Mourinho, the Taylors were abused by fans and had a chair thrown at them.

Roma fans were furious with Taylor after he issued a total of 13 yellow cards during the match, including one to Mourinho.
The Europa League final ended with an Italian supporter being arrested by Hungarian police on suspicion of attacking Taylor.
Angry Fans Throw Chair at Taylor & His Family
Taylor and his family had to be escorted to safety at Budapest airport, where they were cornered by around 100 angry football fans. Airport security staff attempted to maintain a barrier to protect the Taylors.

Various items, including a chair, were thrown during the chaotic scene. The Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL), the body responsible for UK refereeing, condemned the incident as โunjustified and abhorrent.โ
What Did PGMOL Say?
PGMOL released a statement saying, โWe are appalled at the unjustified and abhorrent abuse directed at Anthony and his family as he tries to make his way home from refereeing the UEFA Europa League final. We will continue to provide our full support to Anthony and his family.โ
Taylor appeared visibly shaken during the airport ordeal but looked much calmer when later spotted with his wife enjoying the sunshine.
