Not aware of the situation, worry not, hereโs the brief.
Clark, often at the center of on-court scuffles involving the Indiana Fever, found herself in a different position when tensions flared between her team and the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday.

The 22-year-old player seemed to relish the opportunity to avoid the conflict, turning her back on her teammates and letting them handle the situation.
Fans were ready for drama in the Feverโs matchup with Phoenix, as Mercury star Diana Taurasi was one of the notable WNBA veterans who didnโt take kindly to Clark when she entered the league.
She and Britney Griner made peace with Clark before tipoff, but the rest of the team didnโt follow suit. Tensions rose when the two teams huddled very close to one another after a free throw attempt.
Indiana guard Erica Wheeler pushed away Phoenixโs Kahleah Copper, sparking a confrontation between the teams. One of the main reasons it didnโt escalate into a full-fledged, five-on-five brawl was that Caitlin Clark walked away from the melee.
She briefly tried to hold back Temi Fagbenle from going at Natasha Cloud but eventually gave up and turned her back on her teammates.
Clark Accused of Being โBad Teammateโ
As she walked away, Clark shrugged her shoulders and shook her head, two gestures that have become signature moves for the rookie during this frustrating season, leading to accusations of her being a bad teammate.
However, on this occasion, Clarkโs choice was not selfish but instead for the good of the team.
It paid off as the situation diffused, and the Fever went on to win 88-82, securing their first victory over an opponent with a winning record this season.
Clark came close to making history, finishing one rebound short of becoming the first rookie in WNBA history to record a triple-double.

Fever backup guard Lexie Hull shared a TikTok video of herself, Clark, Katie Lou Samuelson, and others hanging out at the hotel pool in Phoenix.
What Did the Viral Video Show?
In the clip, Hull asks Clark if she wants to play โMermaids,โ and the rookie star agrees before exiting the pool.
Dressed in a black sports bra and black shorts, Clark then heads to the ice bath for a quick dip before running back to the pool and cannonballing in. Her teammates loved it, as you can hear them laughing in the background.
