Shilese Jones is an American artistic gymnast who was born on July 26, 2002 in Seattle, Washington, U.S.
In 2018 Jones, who is 5 feet 3 inches (1.6 meters) tall, began competing at the senior level and at that year’s American Classic, she took first place in the all-around event, vault, and floor exercise.
Jones, who was homeschooled, finished high school in 2020 and was accepted by the University of Florida but elected to defer enrollment in order to pursue her gymnastics career.

Shilese Jones competed for the teams that placed first in the world in 2022, 2023, and the 2018 Pan American Championships winning gold medals.
In 2022, she took home the silver medal in the World All-around and Uneven Bars competition. Two years later, in 2023, she won the bronze medal in the same competition.
Jones also took home the 2022 and 2023 U.S. National Championships in floor exercises and uneven bars, respectively.
Jones became a junior elite in 2014. She finished 29th overall in the American Classic, but fourth on the vault in her elite debut.
Upon her return to competition, she placed fourteenth in the vault, seventh in the uneven bars and balance beam, ninth in the floor exercise, and twenty-third in the all-around.
Jones competed in the U.S. Classic in July 2016, finishing seventh on the vault and twentieth overall. In the 2017 U.S. Classic, she participated and finished seventh in the all-around.
She turned senior in 2018 and following several medals throughout, in 2024 she participated in the season’s first competition, the Core Hydration Classic, where she placed second in the all-around behind Simone Biles.
In addition, she won gold on the uneven bars and tied with Kaliya Lincoln for second place in the floor exercise. On the balance beam, she finished fourth as well.
