Julen Lopetegui has been in the headlines recently after he replaced David Moyes as the new West Ham manager. The former Spain National Team and Real Madrid manager garnered huge praise for his tactics after he guided Sevilla to their 7th Europa League title in 2020.

Rosa Maqueda is a homemaker who is well-known for being the spouse of one of Spain’s top tactically driven manager Julen. The couple has welcomed three children together named Jon, Daniel and Maria. Not much is known about her as she has kept her life private.

Julen Lopetegui was appointed as manager of Porto in 2014 where he guided Porto to the quarterfinals in the same year.

However, after the disappointing first half of the 2015-16 season and elimination from group stages in the UEFA Champions League, he was sacked by the club owing to poor results.

In July 2016 after a disappointing performance of the Spanish National team in  Euro 2016 he was appointed as their new manager replacing legendary Vicente del Bosque.

However, just before the 2018 FIFA WORLD CUP owing to his appointment as a Real Madrid Manager, a controversy took place between RFEF and him where he was sacked just before the start of the World Cup and replaced by Fernando Hierro.

Lopetegui’s first game as a Real Madrid Manager on 15 August 2018, ended in a 4–2 loss to opponents Atletico Madrid  UEFA Super Cup.

Following a string of terrible outcomes and, ultimately, an embarrassing 5–1 away defeat to rivals Barcelona in El Clásico on 28 October 2018, Lopetegui was sacked just 5 months into his appointment.

Lopetegui took over as Sevilla’s manager in June  2019, and he signed a three-year contract. His first club honor came on August 21 2020, when they defeated Inter Milan 3–2 in the 2020 UEFA Europa League final.

But on October 5, 2022, after losing five of the first eight games of the new season, including the huge loss in the UCL match at home against Borussia Dortmund 4-1, his contract was terminated.

In November 2022 he took over as Wolves manager however this tenure ended shortly with the end of the 2022-23 season  after he had disagreements with Club’s position regarding signing new players.
