The Brighton new next manager odds are now out

Roberto De Zerbi is set to leave Brighton & Hove Albion at the conclusion of the 2023/24 season following their match against Manchester United.

Chairman Tony Bloom has confirmed the mutual agreement between the club and De Zerbi for his departure this summer.

For the unfamiliar, De Zerbi, who arrived at Brighton in September 2022 after coaching Shakhtar Donetsk, successfully guided the team to European football.

Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna is rumored to be a top candidate to succeed De Zerbi, while Bayern also express interest in his immediate return to management.

Club Releases Statement

Brighton & Hove Albion has officially announced that head coach Roberto De Zerbi “will depart from the club following tomorrow’s final Premier League match against Manchester United at the American Express Stadium.”

De Zerbi, who took charge in September 2022 after Graham Potter’s move to Chelsea, achieved significant milestones during his tenure, including the club’s highest top-flight finish in the 2022/23 season and reaching the last 16 of the UEFA Europa League this season.

Chairman Tony Bloom expressed gratitude for De Zerbi’s two exceptional seasons, highlighting their inaugural European campaign. The decision to part ways was mutual, allowing both parties to plan for the future effectively.

What Did De Zerbi Say? 

De Zerbi expressed sadness at leaving Brighton but pride in the team’s accomplishments and thanked the club, staff, and fans for their support.

In a statement earlier, the 44-year-old football coach expressed, “I am very sad to be leaving Brighton, but I am very proud of what my players and staff have achieved with the support of everyone at the club and our amazing fans in the past two historical seasons.”

He further added, “We have agreed to end my time at Brighton so that the club and I can continue to work in the way that suits each of us best, following our own ideas and visions, as well as our work and human values.”

Additionally, several staff members will also depart, while some will remain with Brighton & Hove Albion.

However, club coaches Andrew Crofts and Jack Stern will continue their roles with the team.
