Adidas, one of the giants in sports gear, showed off the new Twenty20 international jersey for India’s senior men’s team. They dropped a video of the launch event from Dharamsala on social media, featuring players like Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, and skipper Rohit Sharma checking out a huge replica of the jersey at the HPCA stadium.

The new jersey rocks a mix of blue and orange, with orange shoulder panels and twin orange stripes running along the sides. Of course, you can’t miss the trademark white Adidas stripes running down the sides. The collar gets a touch of the Indian flag colours too.
Adidas began sponsoring India’s uniforms in May 2023, and they haven’t stopped since. Do you recall the World Test Championship and ODI World Cup jerseys? Every one of them was an Adidas. Sales of the ODI World Cup jersey skyrocketed ahead of the major event, thanks in large part to the fact that India was hosting. Moreover, the design and price added more to it.

Speculation about the T20 World Cup jersey had been brewing on social media for a while, with fans sharing supposed leaks and rumours. However, Adidas has unveiled its creations in style, as it did at the Wankhede Stadium last year when it launched the first batch of Test, ODI, and T20I shirts.
This partnership with Adidas came about after MPL, the previous kit sponsor, called it quits. The team was being outfitted by Killer Jeans before that. However, as of May 23, 2023, Adidas has taken centre stage, ushering in a new era in Indian cricket fashion.
Where may the jersey be purchased?
According to the social media posts, the Team India jersey will be available for purchase at all Adidas outlets starting May 7 at 10:00 a.m. The USA and the West Indies will share hosting duties for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, starting on June 1. India’s first-ever game against Ireland is scheduled for June 5 at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.
