Amazon is coming out with its new docuseries on Atletico Madrid head coach Diego Simeone this month and boy does the trailer look electrifying. There is no doubt about the fact that the Argentinian manager has become a club legend in recent times, given his outstanding spell at Atletico Madrid and it is only fair for him to have a documentary made on his journey so far.

Diego Simeone, a man who has guided Atletico Madrid to two La Liga titles, helped finish as runners-up in the Champions League on two occasions, mentored the club to clinch the Europa League twice, in addition to winning the UEFA Super Cup twice and the Copa Del Rey once has completed just over a decade at the club.
The new docuseries ‘Living Match By Match’ takes you on a 6-episode journey, making us peek into the “life, work and miracles” of the Colchoneros manager Diego “El Cholo” Simeone.
Where is the title derived from? Well, it has been procured from the popular bit of “Cholismo” (the idea or philosophy behind Atletico Madrid’s success since the year 2011) with the manager having ushered in a new era of football ever since he took charge of the club. The series shows us how Simeone led the club again and again and what all it took to win during his path to Spanish glory i.e. Atletico Madrid’s triumphant 2020-21 La Liga title victory.
The cast of the docuseries includes interviews with Simeone himself, along with some big names in the world of football, namely Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, David Beckham, Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima, Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho, Antoine Griezmann among other football greats.
It’s Simeone’s personality, work ethic and winning mentality which is what we expect to see as something highlighted through this series. The Argentinian manager is smart, tough and does not say no to a fight on and off the pitch.
