Video footage of Jim Beglin calling the Etihad Stadium “Emptyhad” during commentary for the Manchester City vs Chelsea match has gone viral
Over the years, despite growing as the dominant team in the world of the Premier League with them ruling over the Premier League, Manchester City have failed to convert that consummate success into an ardent fan following. The concourses of the Etihad Stadium are often seen empty with the club failing to sell out its tickets on scores of occasions over the course of the season.

@jimbeglin should be banned from commentating @premierleague matches.
He calls it "Emptyhad" realizes his mistake, takes a pause and says "Etihad"

While he was quick to correct himself, Beglin’s comment didn’t go unnoticed with viewers of the showdown calling him out for doing it intentionally.
Manchester City meanwhile had things far better on the pitch with the side managing to mantain its reign atop of the Premier League points table as it defeated Chelsea 1-0 on the day. A Kevin de Bruyne goal assisted by Joao Cancelo was enough to take the home side past the finishing line.
The defeat for Chelsea comes as a massive blow to second placed Liverpool as well who now face a colossal task in trying to erase the deficit between themselves and Chelsea. The club is already devoid of the services of Sadio Mane and Salah who are currently at AFCON.
