The incident caught further attention after the four suspects appeared in court with bruises, suggesting severe abuse by Russian authorities.
Moscow Attack
The shocking incident took place on Friday, March 22, 2024, around the Crocus City Hall building in Moscow. Dalerjon Mirzoev and the three Tajik nationals are part of an organized armed group that orchestrated the attack on the concert hall. The incident led to the death of at least 137 people and left 180 people injured. The four attackers stormed the hall and started shooting indiscriminately before bombing the building. Following the incident, Russian authorities captured the four attackers around the Bryansk region on March 23.

Dalerjon Mirzoev is an illegal immigrant living in Russia who is originally from Tajikistan. He is one of the four suspects that Russian authorities arrested for his alleged involvement in the recent attack at the Crocus City Hall building in Moscow, Russia. During the court hearing, Dalerjon revealed that he is currently 32-years-old and reportedly overstayed his three-month work visa in Novosibirsk, Russia. Dalerjon was reportedly the leader of the attack group

Dalerjon, along with the three other suspects, were all convicted of committing a terrorist act and sentenced to life imprisonment. The authorities had earlier detained them in custody due to the pending investigation. The entire court hearing at the Basmanny Court of Moscow, including that of Dalerjon Mirzoev, took place behind closed doors. As such, all reports of the hearing came from the court’s official press service. The court cited that they did this because it could:
result in the disclosure of the secrets of the investigation and threat the safety of the participants in the process and their relatives.”
