Ashneer Grover finds himself in the middle of a new pickle with Kotak Mahindra Bank set to take legal action against him over his abusive viral audio
Ever since he’s started BharatPe, Ashneer Grover has been in the limelight for all the wrong reasons. Touted as an extremely difficult person to deal with, persistent reports have done the rounds of how Grover has run a far from happy ship at the fintech with ex-employees tearing into the company on Glassdoor.

His decadent attitude on Shark Tank India has further strengthened those claims with people far from pleased with the abhorrent manner in which Grover has discredited people and their businesses. Bereft of the basic acumen of how to approach people, Grover found himself embroiled in a new controversy after a video of him went viral on social media platforms, one where he was seen abusing a Kotak Mahindra Bank employee.

While Grover had claimed the audio of him losing his marbles after failing to secure share allocation in Nykaa’s IPO last year was fake, he soon went onto delete that tweet, talking about how there wasn’t a need to keep it up any longer. However, Kotak Mahindra Bank has taken note of the deranged nature of the audio with the company issuing a statement, one where it talked about how it would be taking legal action against Grover.
Grover and his wife had last year sent a legal notice to Uday Kotak after failing to secure Nykaa’s IPO shares.
โThis notice was received by us and was replied to appropriately at the time, including placing on record our objections to inappropriate language used by Mr. Grover. Appropriate legal action is being pursued.” “We would like to confirm that there is no breach or violation by the Kotak Group in any manner whatsoever,” the bank said
