The 28-year-old Indian badminton ace will start her Swiss Open journey against German player Yvonne Li. Sindhu met Li in the first round of the All England Open, where Li, ranked 26th globally, retired after losing the opening game. In the men’s singles, Lakshya Sen aims to capitalize on his consecutive semi-final appearances at the French Open and the All England Open. Sen bowed out in the semis in Birmingham, defeated by eventual champion Jonatan Christie of Indonesia. World No. 18 Sen, who’s been in excellent form, will kick off against Malaysia’s Leong Jun Hao.
