Parents, angered by the disappointing event, clamored for refunds as the advertised immersive chocolate factory experience, priced at £35 per person, turned out to be a letdown.

Instead of a chocolate-filled wonderland, children were greeted by a nearly empty warehouse. The storyline took an unexpected turn with the introduction of The Unknown, a peculiar character described as an evil chocolate maker lurking within the factory walls.

A viral video captures the unsettling moment when The Unknown, adorned in a black cloak and silver mask, unveils itself from behind a mirror, eliciting groans of horror from a group of children.

What Did Felicia Reveal About Her Experience As The Unknown

After extensive discussions among social media users regarding The Unknown’s actual identity, 16-year-old Felicia stepped forward on TikTok.

Reflecting on her experience, she shared, “Initially, I wasn’t a fan of the script. As many of you are aware, I’m only 16, and this marked my inaugural paid acting gig. I was quite nervous, but the cast members were incredibly kind and supportive, taking me under their wing.”

She mentioned that the House of Illuminati, the event organizers, initially approached her to portray Wonka. However, on Saturday morning, she was ultimately cast as The Unknown.

“On the day of the event, we were instructed to patch the script and improvise. The only guidance given to me was to act creepy,” she explained. “I had to envision what a man living in the walls might be like.”

Regarding the viral video, Felicia remarked, “Opinions were divided – some loved it, some hated it, and others were left traumatized. Some, including myself, had no idea what was happening.”

Stuart Sinclair, who made a two-hour journey with his family to participate in the event, expressed, “It was truly shocking. However, all the actors present did their utmost best. Unfortunately, they were subcontracted by Illuminati and have not received their due payment.

They were just as stunned as we were, if not more so, as this is their profession and the situation unfairly reflected on them despite it not being their fault.”

Event organizer Billy Coull, the head of the immersive events company House of Illuminati, conveyed to the media, “I am genuinely surprised that the event did not live up to the expectations outlined on paper.

“My envisioned artistic interpretation of a well-known book did not materialize, and for that, I am sincerely and deeply sorry.”
