Know what happened to Andrew Wiggins as he takes a leave and what is his return date update
The Golden State Warriors find themselves in a challenging stretch as they approach the end of the regular season, and to add to the difficulty, they will be without Andrew Wiggins once again.
In the previous season, Wiggins was absent from the team for the last 25 games of the regular season due to a “family matter.” He only made his comeback during the Warriors’ first-round series against the Sacramento Kings.
What happened to Andrew Wiggins and what is his return date update as he takes leave of absence due to personal family matter
Reason Behind Andrew Wiggins Absence
Despite a commendable performance, averaging 17.6 points per game, Wiggins faced another setback when he broke his ribs in the fifth game of the series against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Wiggins refrained from disclosing the nature of his “family matter” during the previous season. However, according to Shams Charania, his father, former NBA player Mitchell Wiggins, was facing a significant health challenge at that time. While it is unknown if his current absense is again due to his dad’s health, reports allude towards it being the reason.
A similar situation may be unfolding in the current season. Coach Steve Kerr and the Warriors continue to stand by their teammate, known for his guarded approach to personal matters.
Last year, there were no public criticisms or doubts about Wiggins’ dedication to basketball within the organization. This season witnessed a significant slump in Wiggins’ performance at the beginning, yet he showcased his best basketball skills prior to this setback.
People hating on Andrew Wiggins actually have no heart…
Instead of hating on Wiggs you should be supporting and sending prayers to him and his family

Interestingly, the Warriors are now better equipped to handle his absence, thanks to the emergence of Jonathan Kuminga and rookie Brandin Podziemski. Wiggins’ departure coincided with Chris Paul’s return to the court.
Warriors Current Position
Despite these developments, the Warriors find themselves in a more precarious position in the standings compared to the previous season. They are currently tied with the Lakers in the ninth spot in the Western Conference, trailing the sixth-place Phoenix Suns by 3.5 games.
Additionally, they are slated to play 15 of their remaining 25 games on the road. The Warriors will not push Wiggins or impose any pressure on him to make a swift return. It is evident that he holds significant importance to his family.
Moreover, Wiggins plays a crucial role for the Warriors, and they are eager for the resolution of his personal matter, whatever it may be, at the earliest opportunity.
