Mumbai Champions batted first and amassed a formidable total of 210 runs. Phil Mustard, who opened the innings, led with an impressive 60 runs from 31 deliveries, hitting six fours and four sixes. Peter Trego then demonstrated his batting skills, scoring 92 runs off 44 balls, including eight fours and six sixes. Telangana Tigers’ bowlers struggled to create pressure or take more than one wicket.
In pursuit of the challenging target, Telangana Tigers fell short by 26 runs, managing to score 184 runs. Ravi Kumar was the highest scorer for Telangana Tigers with 43 runs off 27 balls, followed by Manpreet Gony with a quickfire 38 runs off 18 balls. However, their efforts were futile as they couldn’t lead the team to victory. Mumbai Champions exhibited a collective bowling performance, with Peter Trego, Amit Sanan, and Vishvajithsinh Solanki each securing two wickets.
