Ana Munoz ex-RFEF VP of Integrity admits Luis Rubiales asked her to delay Sergio Busquets from being banned to play in 2019 El Clasico, video goes viral
The decision to relocate the Spanish Super Cup to Saudi Arabia was caused by purported irregularities with the Spanish Football Federation, which are presently being looked into by Spanish authorities. Ana Munoz, the former vice president of the RFEF, was questioned as part of the investigation, and during her questioning, she made a severe accusation against her former boss, Luis Rubiales.

What did Ana Munoz reveal?
Sergio Busquets was supposed to serve a four-match ban in December 2019 for remarks he made regarding a referee, as reported by El Confidencial. Munoz disclosed this information.
Munoz did disclose, though, that Rubiales requested a postponement of the Federation’s hearing about Busquets’ comments. She claims that when she confronted him about it, the former president of the Spanish Football Federation implied that Busquets did not want this to happen by saying that the ban would prevent him from participating in the next Clasico encounter.

Rubiales has yet to respond
How Rubiales reacts to these charges is still to be seen. Strangely, Busquets did not even participate in the aforementioned Clasico, which took place at Camp Nou on December 18, 2019, and concluded in a 0-0 draw between Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Rubiales has been banned by FIFA
FIFA, the body that oversees world football, announced on Friday that former Spanish football boss Luis Rubiales would face a three-year ban from the sport following the rejection of his appeal. “The Appeal Committee was comfortably satisfied that Mr Rubiales behaved in a manner contrary to the principles enshrined under … the FIFA disciplinary code,” stated FIFA in a statement.
Rubiales will face trial in Spain for kissing Spain midfielder Jenni Hermoso on the lips against her will following the Women’s World Cup final in Sydney in August. Rubiales disputes that the kiss was forced and upholds his right to appeal FIFA’s worldwide ban from “football-related activities” to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
FIFA originally imposed a temporary suspension on the former chief of the FA, which he later successfully contested. Next, he was banned from the sport for three years. Spain won the Women’s World Cup for the first time ever, despite the achievement being tainted by Rubiales’ conduct and the controversy that followed.
The 46-year-old stood by his position for three weeks as players went on strike against the Spanish football federation until significant adjustments were achieved. In addition to Jorge Vilda, three other instructors were let go by the organization for reportedly pressuring Hermoso to assert that the kiss was consenting.
On Thursday, a Spanish judge suggested that Rubiales be placed on trial for coercion and sexual assault. As per Judge Francisco de Jorge of Spain’s highest criminal court, the Audiencia Nacional, the kiss “was not consensual and was a unilateral and unexpected move” by Rubiales.
