Another sporting event, another fight. As 2021 got ready to bid adieu, it decided to leave us with another mammoth brawl to immerse us eyes in with the John Wall Holiday Invitational 2021 basketball tournament seeing things turn sour.

Video which has emerged of the insane tiff at Wake Tech in Raleigh shows things turn so abject that tear gas was required to ensure that things didn’t turn take a dark twist as officials rushed in to clear the building and the tournament was halted owing to the fracas.
“What happened tonight doesn’t represent John Wall, the Triangle Education Advancement Foundation or the Holiday Invitational. We love our players, we love our fans and we will work hard to make sure this doesn’t happen again. This event is about the love of the game and violence will never be acceptable,” said co-tournament director Webb Wellman.

The fight which took place during Hansel Emmanuel’s had nothing to do with basketball apparently or bad calls by the referees with the fans beating each other up owing to personal issues.
While it remains to be seen what the new year has in store for us, one thing which is sure is that we are going to be in for more such rifts come 2022 as well.
