Thomas Tuchel opined on the comments made Romelu Lukaku in a recent interview with him revealing he would be taking action against the Belgian
Becoming Chelsea’s record signing this summer after the club broke the bank to pay 97.5 million pounds to repose faith in his services, Romelu Lukaku clearly doesn’t value the faith the club reposed in him. Having a notorious history of turning against his employers, all it needed were six months for Lukaku to belittle his manager, Thomas Tuchel publicly.
Thomas Tuchel Responds To Interview Given By Romelu Lukaku
Injured and having contracted COVID-19 for over half the time he’s been a part of Chelsea, Lukaku has gone onto score on five occasions for the club based out of London in eight matches he’s started in. Having recently scored for the club for the first time since September, the Belgian was lauded by the club’s faithful despite his stinkers since pulling on the club’s colors.
Despite his laggard displays, Lukaku has been unfazed from lambasting Tuchel. A recent interview he gave shows the Belgian talking about how the German coach was deploying a style of play which wasn’t of Lukaku’s liking along with claiming he yearned to return to Inter Milan.
Tuchel was quizzed about the comments, ones the Chelsea supremo revealed came as a surprise to him. He also affirmed that the interview was spoiling the environment engulfing the club and that the club would be taking action against the striker.
“Yeah I don’t like it of course because it brings noise that we don’t need and it is not helpful.
“But let’s be honest, we don’t like it, I don’t like it, because it’s noise that we don’t need. We need a calm environment and focus and it does not help.”
“We will [take action].
“And we will do it behind closed doors, and we will do it openly, like I think the relation is and has always been, so no further comments in public on that,” Tuchel went onto say of Lukaku’s comments.
