Nuno Tavares Viral Video
Currently on loan at Nottingham Forest, Tavares made his first appearance since September in the team’s 3-2 defeat to Brentford on January 20. However, it was not his on-field performance that stirred social media on Sunday night.
Instead, a lengthy video from 2021, predating his move from Benfica to Arsenal, circulated online, showcasing the 23-year-old kissing multiple dogs with notable intimacy.
Fans Reaction
The video, previously identified as featuring the Portuguese star, trended on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on January 22.
Fans expressed their shock and disapproval, with one user questioning, “Why am I seeing a video of a man SNOGGING a DOG?” and another humorously speculating, “Oh, I see Nuno Tavares is trending.
Perhaps we are selling him? Nope, only yet more videos of him letting dogs clean his gums.” Outraged comments continued, with one user expressing disbelief at Tavares “snogging multiple dogs” and others declaring, “That’s enough internet for one day.”
Some users wished they could “unsee” the video, while others simply exclaimed, “What the f*** is this?” Tavares, who played the first three Premier League games for Forest this season, received two yellow cards.
Tavares Acquired by Arsenal For £8 Million
From September 23 until the Brentford match, he was either excluded from the squad or remained on the bench. The defender, acquired by Arsenal for £8 million in 2021, made 22 appearances in his debut season.
He spent the previous season on loan at Marseille, where he scored six goals. For those unfamiliar, Nuno Albertino Varela Tavares, born on January 26, 2000, is a Portuguese professional footballer playing as a left-back for Premier League club Nottingham Forest on loan from Arsenal.
Tavares earned his first cap for Portugal at the under-21 level on September 10, 2019, and scored his first goal against Liechtenstein on October 7, 2021. Although included in the provisional squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, he did not make the final cut.
