There were no injuries reported about the event, which took place on East Harmon Avenue close to the Las Vegas strip. Authorities were informed about the alleged shooting spree at approximately six in the morning (PT), according to KLAS on NY’s eve. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the event happened on the 100 block of Harmon Avenue. Near the MGM Grand, it’s situated east of Las Vegas Boulevard.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department declared that 45-year-old Jon Letzkus was a person of interest a few hours after they first posted about the event on its X page.

The culprit was captured and the area from the south end of the Strip to one block east on Koval Lane was reopened after almost five hours. Letzkus, according to Metro Deputy Chief Dori Koren, used a single firearm, he stated during a press conference on Sunday. The event was unlikely to affect the New Year’s Eve celebrations on the Las Vegas Strip, investigators were certain.
