In what transpired to be an exhilarating first leg, Singapore managed to hold Indonesia to a 1-1 draw thanks to an equalizer from Ikhsan Fandi in the second half of the game at the National Stadium.

Singapore head coach Tatsuma Yoshida knew where his boys lacked and talked to them about what they needed to do in order to gain momentum in the second half.
“I told the boys that they must play on the pitch, they cannot escape their responsibilities, they have to show their full potential.” Yoshida also went on to talk about how his players were nervous because it was an important game and he hoped they exhibit more confidence in the second leg.
It’s been 9 years since The Lions appeared in an AFF Suzuki Cup semi-final and they will now look to play a more dominant game in the second-leg on Christmas.
