Every year, the battle for the NBA title is always hard fought and this season is no different and no one can wait to find out who will be crowned champion and win the finals in 2022
Not too many people would have predicted the fact that the Milwaukee Bucks could be the champions at the end of the NBA season after not winning it for over 50 years.
Brooklyn Nets vs Milwaukee Bucks: Who Will Win The NBA 2022 Finals
The Milwaukee Bucks were impressive last time out and won the championship. This time round the Brooklyn Nets is currently leading the chase and many pundits are touting the New York based team to win their first NBA championship, after they have failed on many previous occasions.
While the Brooklyn Nets are flying high and consistent with their performances, the likes of the Golden State Warriors are also staking their claim on the title, a feat they last achieved in 2018. But with the meteoric rise of the Milwaukee Bucks and the LA Lakers ability to find something out of nothing, there is still no guarantee that Brooklyn Nets will end the season as champions.
As the season rolls on, each team is gradually finding their feet in the quest for the title, so will it be the Milwaukee Bucks or the Brooklyn Nets? We take a look at their chances.
Brooklyn Nets

With no disrespect to the Milwaukee Bucks, they are not a team as talented as the Nets, and the Nets themselves would only have themselves to blame if they failed to take the chance of winning the title with the Lakers stuttering.
The Brooklyn Nets could have well established themselves as last season’s champions despite playing most of the season as a disjointed entity with very little team chemistry – but the unsettled side still found themselves in the semi-finals of the Eastern Conference
Though they were caught short against the Bucks, they could have finally taken the edge against the fellow eastern conference franchise, but many would agree that the Nets could have easily swept away the Bucks had they not had so many health issues with their star players.
In fact, the last campaign did not go as planned for the Nets as Kelvin Durant was an all-out MVP candidate until COVID-19 related DNP scrubbed of his chances. And while James Harden took the mantle, he began to lose his inconsistency due to further health issues although Kyle Irvine easily followed in his footsteps and began to show some complacency.
Moreover, the Brooklyn Nets would hope to progress further than just reaching the semi-final of the Eastern Conference while they boast the best players in the league, and it is difficult to argue against that.
Furthermore, if the Nets big three remain healthy for the majority of the campaign, there is a good chance of the Nets blowing all the other teams in the league away.
Beyond the Eastern Conference are the rejuvenated Golden States Warriors who are beginning to show the world why they are not just hopeful title challengers, but a serious contender for the most prized basketball game in the United States. More so, the LA Lakers and the Phoenix Suns are surely not going to go under the radar, and it will take a lot for the New York team to be crowned champions.
However, while the Nets are the current best team in the NBA and their star men can easily top the scoring stats, there seem to be little or no weakness in the Nets offensive prowess.
With the signing of Blake Griffin, who is one hell of a passer to a formidable attack and Brice Brown who is a veteran perimeter defender, these two could add some much-needed depth and experience to stop the defensive leak of such an attacking team like the Nets
Moreover, with a balanced team featuring Steve Nash, the Brooklyn Nets will undoubtedly be in the driver’s seat to secure their first ever NBA championship
Milwaukee Bucks

There is not much to talk about the team that went against all odds in the previous campaign to be crowned champions of the NBA for the first time in over 50 years of trying. Let’s not also forget they have on their roster the ‘Greek Freak’ who is one hell of a player, and this is why you can now believe in this team and its vision.
In fact, according to the NBA picks, Brooklyn Nets remain favorites to win the 2022 NBA Championship at +260 odds, closely followed by GSW at +600. The Milwaukee Bucks are not too far behind at +700 but the defending champions will need to harness their sheer power to override the Nets and the GSW as favorites despite sitting third on the Eastern Conference log.
However, the Bucks, unlike the Brooklyn Nets unified their game with one-star man, Giannis Antetokoumpo and when the Greek Freak does not come to the floor with his A-game, the attacking build of the defending champions easily falls apart leaving the opposing team to home in on their inability to solidify their attacking prowess.
But once again this term, the Milwaukee Buck can go as far as they did in the last campaign and many people wouldn’t give them a chance in last season, the Milwaukee based team could go one step further than they had in the previous campaigns and would fancy their chances of retaining the gong they won in some months ago.
Moreover, talent wins you games, but sacrifice and belief can also get you far. The Bucks might be less talented than the LA Lakers, Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat let alone the Brooklyn Nets who lead the Eastern Conference, but the Bucks are the epitome of team spirit, and this could lead to their resurgence.
Despite their lack of outstanding talent, the Milwaukee Bucks play with versatility, and they possess the exceptional characters of Holiday and Middleton The former is an outstanding perimeter defender and classy playmaker which compliments the attacking prowess of Antetokoumpo, while keeping their defensive shape intact.
Middleton’s addition to the roster successfully gave the Bucks the much-needed talent to boost their chances but what really catapulted the Bucks to NBA glory was their team spirit which they possessed in abundance on so many fronts.
However, the Bucks have an elite talent in Giannis Antetokoumpo and while his first ever NBA final performance was given legendary status and was compared with the likes of Dwayne Wade, Michael Jordan and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The Nigerian-Greek international’s consistent performances earned him two consecutive MVP awards and retaining such talent certainly boosts the chance of Bucks retaining the trophy.
The Milwaukee Bucks’ loss of players like Turker and Bryn Forbes are obviously a negative while the addition of Grayson Allen and George Hill have ensured that the team were able to rotate their squad which enabled the team to have an impressive defensive stack along with brutal attacking power.
Moreover, the Bucks chances might be slim unlike the Golden State Warriors and the Brooklyn Nets, but with a balanced team that prizes itself on team spirit and unity, they stand a very good chance of going all the way and winning the NBA campaign.
