After ending the previous season in a climax, fans are excited for the Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 expected release date
The second season of Jujutsu Kaisen featured the explosive Shibuya Incident arc, which left viewers gasping, laughing, and generally unable to contain their jaws as weekly installments of exceptional combat scenes unfolded.
Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 release date and year update, voice actors cast, plot story and total episodes
For now, the culling game arc has been announced and we can expect Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 to be released around 2025. We did receive the prequel film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 between seasons one and two, so it is possible that Yuji and company will return to the big screen prior to that time.
The Culling Game arc, which the new season will bring to life, spans chapters 159 to 221 in Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen manga but its total number of episodes aren’t known yet. The third season would likely look at the ending of “The Shibuya Incident” arc as well as the “Itadori’s Extermination” arc, where Yuji once again faces execution due to hosting one of the world’s most powerful evils in his body.

The plot for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3
The second season of Jujutsu Kaisen adapted the flashback story Premature Death/Hidden Inventory and the infamous Shibuya Incident arcs.
Moreover, as the second-longest arc in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga, the Shibuya Incident arc is noteworthy from an adaptation standpoint (particularly when attempting to forecast what will occur next).
As previously stated, the brief teaser trailer for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 confirmed that the Culling Game Arc will be the next story arc adapted.
The narrative follows Yukka Okkotsu’s return and deals with the immediate aftermath of the Shibuya Incident, without revealing too much for anime-only viewers. It subsequently eliminates Yuji altogether and focuses almost exclusively on Fushiguro.

It didn’t appear like much of a certainty who would produce Jujutsu Kaisen season three until lately. Production troubles involving animation studio MAPPA were well-documented throughout the show’s second season. Also, numerous employees accused the studio of bad management at various points throughout the length of the show. However, MAPPA appears to be returning for a third season based on the show’s teaser trailer.
