Italian powerhouse Inter Milan is on the verge of bankruptcy as per reports and here is their 2023-23 players salary bill
Italian football club Inter Milan, which has a long history, is currently in danger of going bankrupt. The intensity of the Italian club’s financial crisis has been made clear by recent ilGiornale publications.
Inter Milan squad players salary list and wage bill for 2023-2024
The only reason the Italian team was able to survive the 2023–24 season was because of the money they received from the trades involving Brozovic and Andre Onana. The club is apparently on the edge of bankruptcy.
Going into the 2023–24 season, Inter has somewhat reduced their payroll bill, saving a total of approximately €11.2 million in gross revenue, making them the second-highest team in Serie A. Calcio e Finanza confirmed a reduction of almost €11.2 million in gross wage compared to the Nerazzurri’s salary bills from the previous season and last. Last year, the total cost was close to €129 million gross.
Thanks to their efforts in the transfer market, Inter was able to somewhat lower costs, with their current wage bill coming in at about €117.8 million gross or €70.9 million net.
A lot of the Inter team’s highly-paid players from the previous campaign made their way out. Given the directive to lower the club’s wage expenditure, this was not shocking. Among the players who left were Milan Skriniar, Edin Dzeko, Marcelo Brozovic, and Romelu Lukaku.
