Shadloui Chianeh, the Iranian was the most expensive overseas signing and is a bavk hold specialist. On the other hand Daniel Odhiambo came as the replacement of the Korean Jang Kun Lee.

The reigning champions would be looking for their second consecutive title with the team with strongest foreign players in the squad. Nabibaksh was a major part of the Bengal side when they won the league.
