Ricardo Drue passed away on Tuesday, December 12, following which his team officially confirmed the news on Instagram on Wednesday, December 13. Following the post, fans began flooding the comment section with tributes to the singer. The post read:
It is evident that Ricardo was truly loved and we are consoled knowing that his impact extended worldwide. His sudden passing has left us all shattered and as such we are asking for privacy as we make sense of this devastating loss.”
Cause of death
As of now, officials have not revealed the official cause of death. However, various news outlets have reported that the artist was found unconscious and taken to a local hospital in Antigua.
According to the Antigua Observer, Ricardo Drue, the vibrant Soca sensation, tragically lost his life at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center.
