ATP Finals 2023

Serbian professional Novak Djokovic clinched the 2023 ATP Finals crown in the singles category following a straight-sets win over Jannik Sinner. This win marks his seventh championship win so far. While both players started out well in the match, Djokovic quickly moved ahead and established his dominance. After winning the first set, he beat Jannik once again in the second set before scoring three breaks of serve. Following which, he closed out the match with a score of 6-3, 6-3. Notably, Djokovic never dropped his serve throughout the contest and managed to win with an impressive record of 80% first-serve and 78% second-serve points.

The ATP Final featured a total prize pool of $15 million from which, the winner, Djokovic, received a total of $4,644,750. This amount includes the participation fee, round-robin fee, and semifinal as well as summit clash prizes. Meanwhile, the runner-up Jannik Sinner, also earned a substantial $2,600,500 for his efforts over the past week.

The two losing semifinalists Daniil Medvedev and Carlos Alcaraz, meanwhile, won prize money equivalent to their round-robin wins. The players won $390,000 per match win, besides the $325,500 participation fee awarded for playing all the three matches. The other players who lost out in the round-robin stage only received their participation fee and money for the matches that they managed to win.

Doubles category

In the men’s doubles category, sixth-seeded American-British pair Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury won the 2023 ATP Finals title. The pair beat Horacio Zeballos and Marcel Granollers in the final clash. The pair dominated throughout the entire tournament without dropping any matches. Ram and Salisbury will each earn a total prize money of $785,650, including the final and semifinal-winning prizes of $351,000 and $175,650, respectively. The players also earned an additional $95,000 for each round-robin match win, besides the $132,000 participation fee. Behind them, the two runners-up, Zeballos and Granollers, each received $175,650 alongside their round-robin awards and participation fee.
