Combs fiercely refutes these accusations, arguing that Ventura is trying to blackmail him. Benjamin Brafman, his attorney sharply objected to the statements, calling them “offensive and outrageous.”
In her claim, Ventura portrays Combs as a “serial domestic abuser,” alleging that he assaulted her physically and s*xually over ten years, starting when she was 19 and he was 37. The lawsuit goes on to detail a pattern of abuse, including instances of severe beatings that left victims with blood, bruises, and black eyes.
Ventura said she was prepared “to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships” in her fearless statement.
In response to these claims, Combs’ legal representative said that Ventura made a subliminal threat to publish a harmful exposé about their relationship in exchange for $30 million (£24 million). Combs’ attorney, Benjamin Brafman, angrily rejected these requests, calling them outright blackmail.

He was born on 21 July 1948 in New York City, US. He was the son of Holocaust survivors, and shortly before World War II, his family moved to Cuba from Europe. He also has one elder brother named Aaron who was an Orthodox rabbi in Far Rockaway, Queens.
Benjamin Brafman did his schooling at Yeshiva High School. Later, he attended Brooklyn College night classes, majored in anthropology, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. Subsequently, he graduated with honors from Ohio Northern University College of Law as a juris doctor. He graduated with honors from New York University School of Law with an LL.M. Brafman received an honorary degree from Ohio Northern University College of Law in May 2014.

In 1975, Benjamin Brafman joined the New York State Bar, which helped shape his legal career. Before beginning his career as an Assistant District Attorney at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, he worked for a short while at a criminal defense business.
Brafman opened his own legal practice in Manhattan in 1980. Over the course of his career, Brafman became known as a celebrity attorney by taking on a number of high-profile cases. Among his well-known cases is the 1999 successful defense of Sean “P. Diddy” Combs against allegations of illegal weapons possession and bribery, which resulted in a total acquittal.
