The 13th Hockey India Senior Men National Championship will commence in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, starting November 17. Eight pools will host twenty-nine competing teams vying for a place in the November 28 Final. The Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium in Chennai will host this 12-day tournament, showcasing a total of 47 matches. Earlier this year, the stadium hosted the Hero Asian Champions Trophy Chennai 2023, where the Indian team claimed victory.

2023 Hockey India Senior Men National Championship schedule, date, time, venue, draw, & tournament format
As per the competition guidelines, the Quarter-Finals will showcase the leading team from each pool. Later, the successful teams will progress to the Semi-Finals on November 27. On November 28, the Final will take place, where the winners of the Semi-Finals will compete. Thirty-one players from the National Core Group are slated to take part in this event.
Representing Punjab are key players including Indian skipper Harmanpreet Singh, Dilpreet Singh, Akashdeep Singh, and Gurinder Singh. Meanwhile, Amit Rohidas, Nilam Sanjeep Xess, Dipsan Tirkey, and Shilanand Lakra will represent Odisha. Lalit Kumar Upadhyay, Rajkumar Pal, Pawan Rajbhar, & Prashant Kumar Chauhan will be showcasing their skills for Uttar Pradesh.
