With Ben Simmons refusing to mend his ways and return to the 76ers, Philadelphia have now upped the ante in trying to offload the player. Rumors of his impending trade have gained steam after going off the boil as reports come in of the player being on the anvil of bankruptcy.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN multiple teams are involved as the 76ers guard continues to refrain himself from stepping out for the team in NBA 2021 citing mental health issues. Despite being fined by the team on a raft of occasions, Simmons continues to remain adamant on his stance with his agent Rich Paul claiming the 76ers have been far from helpful.

Given the manner in which the entire saga has blown up, Simmons has become a much hated figure in Philadelphia. So much so, that a man was recently pictured selling shirts of Ben Simmons d**khead on the streets, a video which has since gone viral.
The 76ers are as of now trying to push hard to land a top 25 player in exchange for Simmons with the side eyeing Damian Lillard and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. While it looks unlikely that they’ll land either player owing to Simmons value tanking owing to his antics, the 76ers are said to be gaining momentum in their talks.
Any chance of a trade will open up on December 15th when players who signed offseason deals become eligible for inclusion in a deal. Portland Trail Blazers have meanwhile made it clear that Lillard is not available.
