Notably, the individual behind this online persona was known as Yash. News of Yash’s unfortunate demise due to a heart failure on October 29, 2023, left internet users in shock, as he was less than 30 years old.

Numerous online users are paying tribute to Yash’s legacy, as he was popular for tackling a range of critical sociopolitical matters. Regrettably, an unfortunate incident transpired involving Mohammad Zubair, a figure recognized for divulging people’s identities and ensnaring them in fraudulent schemes, persisting in his actions even amidst this sorrowful circumstance. He made insensitive comments about Yash’s passing, which sparked outrage on social media. Following significant backlash, Zubair eventually deleted his offensive tweets.
Furthermore, Prashant Kanojia, a member of the RLD, made offensive comments regarding Yash’s demise, callously alluding to Yash’s prior online statements. Kanojia remarked that Yash had once made insensitive comments about the tragic deaths of Palestinian children in Gaza and reveled in the suffering of innocent children but now, nature has now taken its course.
How netizens responded to the offensive posts of Zubair and Prashant?
While people mourned Yash’s passing, Mohammad Zubair, a founding member of Altnews, continued to mock Yash’s death with persistent posts. Faced with public outrage, Zubair explained that although he deleted his offensive tweets, he won’t approve the controversial posts by Yash, which mocked the death of the Palestinian kids.
It is important to note that such actions of Mohammad Zubair hasn’t occurred for the first time, as he has a history of defending individuals believing jihadism and terrorism while using the guise of fact-checking. In the past, Zubair has put the life of numerous genuine people in danger by revealing their identities and hence, netizens criticized him harshly.
Other netizens shared screenshots of Zubair’s deleted tweets, bringing attention to his insensitive comments. After hearing about the unfortunate death of Yash, numerous social media users including TV journalist Pradeep Bhandari and ISKCON spokesperson Radha Raman Das expressed their grief and paid their respects to the youngster, who passed away due to a heart attack.
