In the ever-evolving landscape of Indian football, a new chapter is being written as Namdhari FC takes its debut steps in the I-League for the 2023-24 season, here is all you need to know about the club’s owner and players

This Punjab-based club, backed by Namdhari Seeds, has been steadily building its reputation over the years, and with their current position in the Punjab State Super League, they are all set to make a resounding entry onto the national football stage.

Namdhari XI, which forms the foundation of Namdhari FC, was established back in 1975. However, it was in 2004 that they took a significant step by establishing the Namdhari Sports Academy near Ludhiana. In 2018, they ventured into football by setting up their first football academy.

The ongoing season of the Punjab State Super League is nothing short of a fairytale for Namdhari FC. With an astounding 30 points, they have secured the top position. 

Their journey to the summit has been remarkable, marked by an impeccable record of ten consecutive victories, showcasing their dominance and skill.

Heading into this season, Namdhari FC made a significant move by welcoming Francesc Bonet as their head coach. Bonet’s experience from managing teams like Gokulam Kerala FC and Rajasthan FC positions him as a valuable asset. Known for his tactical expertise in flexible formations.

The coaching staff at Namdhari FC includes Harpreet Singh as the assistant coach, Kulwant Singh as the goalkeeping coach and a dedicated reserve and academy coaching team.

Their squad boasts a mix of Indian talents and foreign players. The likes of Akashdeep Singh and Davinder Singh, previously with I-League team Real Kashmir, have joined their ranks. 

The acquisition of Harmanpreet Singh from Bengaluru FC adds firepower upfront, while players like Harmanjot Singh and Tenzin Samdup bring depth and versatility to the squad.
